Warning

Do not place this light in the reach of children.
Do not shine the light directly into the eyes or skin of anyone.
Do not place the light head near flammable objects — high temperatures can cause objects to overheat and become flammable/ignite.
Do not use the light in inappropriate ways such as holding the unit in your mouth; doing so could cause serious personal injury or death if the light or internal batteries fail.
This light will accumulate a significant amount of heat while operating, resulting in a high temperature of the light shell. Pay close attention to avoid burns.
Take out the batteries to prevent accidental activation during storage or transportation.
The LEDs of this light are not replaceable; so the whole light should be replaced when any of the LEDs reaches the end of its lifespan.
The laser classification of this light is Class 3B. Do not point the laser directly into people's eyes, or reflected beams from glass and shiny surfaces.

Operating Instructions

On/Off: With the light locked, rotate the toggle switch clockwise to turn on the light; with the light unlocked and turned off, press and hold the electronic switch for 0.5 seconds to turn on the light in Floodlight mode. Off: rotate the toggle switch counterclockwise to the lock symbol, or press and hold the electronic switch for 0.5 seconds, to turn off the light.

Mode Switching: The flashlight has four modes: Floodlight mode, Laser mode, Floodlight+Laser mode, and Special mode. With the light on or locked, rotate the toggle switch clockwise to turn on the light and cycle through Floodlight mode→Laser mode→Floodlight+Laser mode. With the light unlocked, press and hold the electronic switch for 1.2 seconds to enter Special mode, and press and hold again for 1.2 seconds to return.

Output Selection: In Floodlight, Laser, or Floodlight+Laser mode, rotate the toggle switch clockwise to raise brightness and counterclockwise to lower it. In Special mode, single click the electronic switch to cycle through Strobe→SOS.

Lock/Unlock: With the light unlocked, rotate the toggle switch counterclockwise to the lock symbol to turn off and lock the light. With the light locked, rotate the toggle switch clockwise to unlock and turn it on. In locked status, the light will not respond to any operation except battery level checking.

Intelligent Memory Circuit: When the light is unlocked, it will automatically memorize the previously used mode and recall it when turned on again. When the light is locked, it will not memorize the previously used mode and will be activated in Floodlight mode. Note: the light does not memorize the previously used mode or output when in Special mode.

Battery Specifications

21700 Li-ion batteries are powerful cells designed for commercial applications and must be treated with caution and handled with care. Using low-quality batteries or mishandling batteries could lead to combustion; using quality batteries with circuit protection reduces the potential for combustion or explosion.

Battery Replacement

Unscrew the light head, insert the batteries with the cathode side (-) towards the inner side, then screw the light head back on. Only half of the LEDs can be powered with a single battery inserted: in Floodlight mode, only the Med output can be operated, while the brightness levels of Laser mode remain unaffected.

Charging

Turn off the light and open the anti-dust cover to reveal the USB Type-C charging port. Plug the USB A socket of the charging cable into an electrical outlet, then connect the Type-C socket of the charging cable to the light. When charging, the OLED display automatically lights up to show the battery percentage and a charging icon. Normal charging time is approximately 3.5 to 4 hours from depleted to fully charged. Charging the flashlight without any battery inserted is strictly prohibited; only the Low output of Floodlight mode can be operated while charging.

Intelligent Brightness Downshift Function

To turn this function on or off, lock the light and press and hold the electronic switch for 6 seconds — the OLED will show "ON" with two blinks on Floodlight Low to indicate enabled, or "OFF" with eight blinks to indicate disabled. When the light head is close to an illuminated object (about 60 mm) for more than 1 second, the flashlight automatically downshifts to the lowest brightness level of the current mode; when away from the object for more than 1.2 seconds, it automatically recalls the previously used brightness level. This function only works when the brightness level in Floodlight mode exceeds 540 lumens (or 270 lumens with one battery inserted).

OLED Smart Display

Each time the light is turned on, the OLED lights up and shows the Fenix icon for 1 second, then constantly displays the current brightness level, remaining runtime, and remaining battery level. With the light off, single click the electronic switch to check the battery status; the display lasts 3 seconds. If the battery level is 5% or lower, only an empty battery icon appears and only the Low output of Floodlight mode can be operated. "LOADING" appears for 5-8 seconds if the batteries are reinserted or their status changes.

Intelligent Overheat Protection

The light will accumulate a lot of heat when used for extended periods. When it reaches a temperature of 55°C/131°F or above, it will automatically step down a few lumens to reduce the temperature, and gradually recall the preset output level once the temperature drops below 55°C/131°F.

Low-Voltage Warning

When the voltage level drops below the preset level, the flashlight downshifts to a lower brightness level until the Low output of Floodlight mode is reached. When this happens, an empty battery icon appears on the OLED display to remind you to recharge, and continues until the battery runs out.

The true performance of this product may vary according to different working environments and the actual batteries used. *The High output is measured in total of runtime including output at reduced levels due to temperature or protection mechanism in the design.

Usage and Maintenance

Disassembling the sealed head can cause damage to the light and will void the warranty.
Fenix recommends using excellent quality batteries.
If the light will not be used for an extended period, remove the batteries, or the light could be damaged by electrolyte leakage or battery explosion.
Lock the light or remove the batteries to prevent accidental activation during storage or transportation.
Long-term use can result in O-ring wear. To maintain a proper water seal, replace the ring with an approved spare.
Periodic cleaning of the battery contacts improves the light's performance as dirty contacts may cause flickering or failure to illuminate: the light may be locked (unlock by rotating the toggle switch clockwise); the battery level may be poor (replace or recharge the batteries); or the threads, PCB board contact or other contacts may be dirty (clean with a cotton swab soaked in rubbing alcohol).
